Subimal Basak
Subimal Basak, (সুবিমল বসাক) is an Indian fiction writer. He is a member of the Hungry generation,〔http://www.kaurab.com/english/bengali poetry/Hungry-Generation〕〔("India: The Hungry Generation", ''TIME magazine'', 20 November 1964 )〕 with Samir Roychoudhury,〔(Malay Roychoudhury, the creator of Hungry alist movement )〕 Falguni Roy, Shakti Chattopadhyay and the movement's creator Malay Roy Choudhury.
The Hungry Generation archive,〔(Hungry Generation Archive )〕 and Weissner Archive with Subimal Basak Papers〔http://www.library.northwestern.edu/spec/pdf/weissner.pdf〕 are held at Northwestern University; the Howard McCord archive is held at Washington State University.〔(Howard McCord Archive containing Subimal Basak Papers )〕
==Awards==
Subimal Basak was awarded the Sahitya Academy Award for translations by the Government of India in 2008. He was felicitated by Alochana Chakra at the Bangla Academy in 2009.
